Bathrooms have been receiving lot of attention lately. People have been taking a lot of care in decorating their bathrooms. New themes such as wet rooms and bathroom suites have been a hit among house owners as well. Mostly they tend to repair existing accessories such as showers, radiators, towel rails, boilers or install new accessories such as shower doors, shower enclosures etc.
But there are few areas which go unnoticed more than often. If these areas are also given their due attention, your bathroom could turn into the major attraction of your home. We have listed few of them to help out home owners.
For most of the people, when it comes to bathroom walls, it is either limestone tiles or porcelain lookalike tiles for them. This is the normal trend that home owners tend to follow when talking about walls and bathroom floors. But a wall full of pale tiles tends to make your bathroom look bland. It is advised that homeowners instead go for a blend of tiles of various colors. This will make the environment in the bathroom a little cheerful. But a bathroom full of tiles suffers from condensation unless heating tools such as heaters or radiators are in place. Under floor heating and tower rails should also be able to help you. It also advised to have sufficient ventilation which should ease out the condensation problem.
For bathtubs and basins, bold brassware with angular twist should do the trick for you. Especially the ones that come with nickel finishing, they tend to look a lot softer. Satin and matt finished basins also look very good. The latest trend for bathroom taps is to opt for arched taps which provide a graceful look. Large shower are used in bathrooms, especially in wet rooms, to give you a relaxed shower after a hard days work. But when choosing for metallic accessories such as boilers, showers, radiators etc for your bathroom, it is advised to take help from specialists, since different metals react differently when exposed to saline water and heat.
Wet rooms are growing famous too. But they are a bit costlier compared to other options, since it involves a coating of water proof membrane around the room. But you can opt for a semi wet room, which only involves the coating of the required area with a water proof protective membrane. The open area can be covered using shower enclosures.
